Water is Life. Your body is about 70% water, give or take it. It is your body’s principal component and a natural detoxifier. But few people knows how much water should you drink a day. To answer the question “how much water should you drink a day?” I must say one should take water according to his needs. More elaborately saying, take two person who works in a totally different atmosphere so their water intake will be different naturally as there sweating level will vary.

Suppose you work in an air condition room sitting all day. So there is a little chance of being sweaty as a result you will feel less thirsty. In this case, you do not need to take 8 or 10 glass of water.
But if you are a heavy worker like if you have to travel a lot or you do mostly physical jobs then you feel more sweaty naturally. As a result 10 to 12 glass of water intake will be necessary for you. So do a little research and choose your own criteria of taking fluids. Keep changing your water intake routine until you find what is best for you.

Water consumption varies during seasons. None take the same amount of water in every weather. Naturally, one feels more thirsty in summer days compare to winter or another season. As the sweating level is high in summers days your body gets easily dehydrated so you need to keep drinking to stay hydrated. Your body will always tell you if you are thirsty. So you will naturally know how much water should you drink a day. It is ok to take a little sip of water in between. If your urine is light yellow then your internal system is ok with having no issue with water shortage in your body.

You can drink two to four glass of water containing roughly 800 ml. If your workplace is the air conditioned environment and you are following a sedentary lifestyle then 2 to 2.5 liters of water will be sufficient for you.
For general workers, like sales executive and other physical workers, drinking at least 3 liters per day is necessary to remain hydrated. In summer days drink fluids with little intervals.
